Choose the type your owner's manual specifies. Coolant color is just a dye and doesn't reliably tell you the type, and you shouldn't mix different types. Premixed coolant goes in as is; concentrate must be mixed with water at the ratio on the label. Never open the radiator cap while the engine is hot.

What's the difference between green and pink coolant?+

The color is a dye added by the maker, and there's no industry rule linking colors to types, so you can't go by color alone. Use the type and standard your owner's manual specifies, and don't mix different types.

Do I need to add water?+

It depends on the product. Premixed coolant is ready to use. Concentrate must be mixed with water at the ratio on the label. Each product page tells you which type it is.

Can I open the radiator cap when the engine is hot?+

No. A hot cooling system is under pressure, and scalding coolant and steam can spray out. Wait until the engine and radiator have cooled down.
