Duckhams Long Life Coolant Green is a super-concentrated ethylene glycol radiator coolant with organic acid technology (OAT) for gasoline, diesel and gas engines. The maker says it mixes with clean water from 1:1 to 1:5 and meets ASTM D3306.

What the maker says
OAT, silicate- and phosphate-freeThe maker says its organic inhibitors are virtually non-depleting, and the absence of silicates and phosphates improves hard-water stability.
Protects all metalsThe maker says it protects iron, aluminum and copper and does not harm rubber seals or gaskets.
Better heat transferThe maker says ethylene glycol raises the boiling point, lowers the freezing point and improves heat transfer.
Fewer cooling-system repairsThe maker says it reduces thermostat, radiator and water pump repairs as a low-maintenance coolant.
Best for

Radiators in cars, pickups and trucks with gasoline, diesel or gas engines that use an OAT coolant.

LONG LIFE COOLANT Green FAQ

Do I need to mix Duckhams Long Life Coolant with water?

Yes. It is a concentrate, and the maker says to mix it with clean water from 1:1 to 1:5 (1 part coolant to 1–5 parts water). Use clean water and the ratio on the label or in your owner's manual.

What vehicles is it for?

The maker says it suits gasoline and diesel passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, heavy-duty diesels and gas engines, and protects both aluminum and copper radiators.

Is the green different from the pink?

The maker lists the same standards and properties for green, pink and blue. When topping up, use the same color and type already in your radiator, and drain the old coolant first if you switch brand or type.

When should coolant be changed?

Follow the interval in your owner's manual and check the reservoir level regularly. If the level drops quickly, have the system checked for leaks.

Can I open the radiator cap when the engine is hot?

No. Never open the radiator cap on a hot engine, because the coolant is hot and under pressure and can cause burns. Wait until the engine cools down.

Is shipping free?

Yes. We ship free nationwide, or you can pick it up at a Subphaisal branch.
